The Age of Imperialism brought about many good things for not only European countries, but also several countries in Africa and Asia.  European powers such as Great Britain, France, and Germany imposed their way onto the foreign cultures.  While this influence helped bring these ancient societies into the modern economy, it also forced the natives into oppressive conditions that they slowly began to revolt against.

Objective: Learn how the European powers modernized and oppressed African and Asian cultures and how they eventually sought their rights.
